BIO Micah Chadrick


Micah Chadrick
Physical Education

Micah Chadrick was born in Dayton, Ohio.  He was the son of a military father and a mother who was in education.  He has a little brother named Benjamin.  He is extremely close with his family who are all pictured with him on the right.  He moved often in grade school before settling in Parker, Colorado as a sophomore at Ponderosa High School.  He loves THE Ohio State University and is a huge buckeye fan.

Micah will be starting his fourth year here at Legacy Academy, and eighth year as a physical education and health teacher.   He is also the athletic director and head basketball and baseball coach here at Legacy Academy.   He attended Metropolitan State University of Denver.  He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Human Performance and Sport with an endorsement in K-12 Physical Education, receiving his professional teacher license.

Micah was the Vice President of the physical education program for Metro State. The University also recognized him as the 2008-2009 outstanding K-12 Physical Education Student of the Year.

Activities & Hobbies:  Micah's main passion outside of teaching is playing the game of golf.  He has experienced some success at the amateur level, especially in 2014, his only year as a part of the Golf Channel's Amateur Tour--Denver. He has won multiple tournaments as an amateur, competed in USGA events, and has six aces (two of them on Par 4's).  He also participates in a variety of recreational sports where he is a resident.
