UPDATE: Expansion Project

Dear Legacy Academy Community,

I wanted to update you on the exciting progress of our Expansion Project. In July, the United States Department of Agriculture officially invited us to apply for a Rural Development Loan. This loan would fund the expansion of our current building and pay off the remaining debt from previous construction projects. A large majority of organizations that are invited to apply for these loans receive approval, since much of the work on the project is done before the official invite is given. The application will be submitted to USDA in August, and we should get a decision in October.
This expansion will allow for more classrooms to be built, so that Legacy can accommodate 3 classes at each grade level. It will also add a pre-school, which is in high demand in our area. In addition, another gym will be built, along with a performing arts auditorium. This will allow for continued expansion of our athletics and performing arts programs. All of this with the goal of serving our students well. I’m looking forward to a great start to the school year.

Sincerely,
Merlin Holmes
