Legacy Academy is a school alive with interactive learning, teachers equipped with current technology, and students engaged in a way that motivates, empowers and meets their individual educational needs. Our school serves approximately 400 full time students, along with about 80 students who participate in our Legacy Academy Homeschool Enrichment Program.
Legacy Academy is a tuition free, K-8 charter school serving families from Elbert and Douglas counties. Each of our classrooms has access to current technology and the staff is continually searching for new and innovative approaches to education. Every student and staff member has an iPad to use during the school year.
Clubs & Extracurriculars
Students are encouraged to participate outside of the classroom in clubs and extracurriculars. Legacy Academy offers many clubs and activities for elementary and middle school students.

Trips & Experiences
Legacy Academy organizes student trips and experience to enhance learning, boost personal development, and foster stronger relationships. These experiences extend learning beyond the classroom, providing hands-on opportunities to engage with curriculum topics, develop social skills, and broaden perspectives.

The cost is $15.00 per person. Nerf Night is for Legacy families only. Participants must be 7 and up (6-year-olds may play if a parent is in the gym with them). This is an excellent time for families to play together. Parents are invited to play as well. Bring your own blasters to the event (we do not provide blasters). Students may not bring their blasters to school during school hours. Do not bring darts or discs. Protective eye wear and darts are provided. Parents will be required to sign a waiver prior to this event; no exceptions will be made. Come enjoy a fun night with your Legacy friends and family. Please use this Nerf Night Waiver or parents to sign up to volunteer or donate concession items. We will need help setting up, tearing down, judges. Any parents that donate food or time may apply it to your volunteer hours as double hours. ($10 in donations or 1 hour of your time will equal 2 volunteer hours).
Doors will open at 5:30. Players/parents will not be permitted in the building until 5:30 unless you are helping setup. Parents must come inside and sign the 26-27 waiver.
To host Legacy family events, we rely on parent volunteers, please sign up to help set up, tear down and monitor our students to assure a safe fun Legacy event. It is easy and fun to volunteer. Thank you to the many volunteers, we cannot do it without you.
