I was born to Marquis and Bernece Mason, February 22, 1948 in Little Rock Arkansas. I was the fifth of six children (3 boys and 3 girls)
In 1954 we moved from Benton Harbor Michigan to Montrose Colorado. (we moved a LOT) I graduated from Golden High School in 1967 and was the only child in the family to obtain a high school diploma.
December 26, 1969 I went on a blind date with a rather handsome man named Vic Gleason, after a lengthy courtship (March 14, 1970) we were married .God blessed us with a beautiful baby girl. We were again blessed with a beautiful daughter. Then, god gave us the son we had prayed for.
We raised our children in Lakewood, Colorado where Vic had an Auto repair shop. I was a stay at home mom. Our children attended Silver State Baptist School where Miss Jill Bishop (Mrs Grassnick) taught 5th grade and Mendy was fortunate enough to have her for her teacher.
In 1984 we began homeschooling our children.
In June 1998 Vic retired and closed the shop, we sold our home and moved to Kremmling, Colo where we owned a house, we thought we would love being retired and living in the mountains (we didn't) it was too far away from the kids. John lived in Franktown, Mendy lived in Lakewood. In June of 2001 we bought 80 acres in Elizabeth and moved so we could be closer to them.
We enjoy our little job at the school and love watching the children as they grow and change. We are looking forward to our grandson attending Legacy Academy next year.
