Hello!! My name is Shellie Wendel, I am the new Athletic Director. My husband Chris and I have 4 beautiful loving children. I was born and raised in a small town in Nevada. After high school, I attended a junior college in Lassen, CA where I helped get a women’s soccer program started and played for a season. I then transferred to La Grande, OR where I walked onto the women's soccer team, and helped the athletic director start a booster club. A life changing injury ended my soccer career and led me down a different path, finding my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and my love for helping others heal. I came to CO for massage school focusing on healing athletes and injuries. My husband and I met in 2010 and married in 2012. Chris is the love of my life and greatest support. In November 2020, our lives were drastically changed from a horse accident. The 3.5 year journey was difficult, frustrating and unimaginable but I'm grateful to be alive and for all the doctors and specialists that have helped me get back to being a functional me. I’m so grateful to be here and looking forward to this new adventure!
