Legacy Academy is a tuition free, K-8 charter school serving families from Elbert and Douglas counties. We are a 1:1 iPad school, meaning that every student and staff member has an iPad Air to use during the school year. Each of our classrooms has access to current technology and the staff is continually searching for new and innovative approaches to education.
Our school serves approximately 430 full time students, along with about 120 homeschool students through a part-time enrichment program.

In 2011, through a partnership with iSchool Campus, the school completed a technology overhaul and put hundreds of Apple devices into the hands of students and staff. Legacy is a "One-to-One" environment meaning that each and every student (K-8) has his or her own iPad Air for use during the school year. Students and their parents are responsible for the iPads throughout the year and each device is managed/monitored by the school.

are used on a daily basis and have added a level of enthusiasm and innovation to our learning environment. In addition to individual iPads, our students also have access to 3D printers, MacBook computer labs, blazing fast internet, green-screen video production,
and
Google Apps
for Education which allows our teachers and students to collaborate in school, at home, or anywhere with a wifi connection.
Students are encouraged to participate outside of the classroom in clubs, activities, and athletics. Please visit the athletics and clubs page on our website for more information about sports options for 6th-8th grade students, and after-school clubs or activities that may be appealing to your elementary or middle school student(s). We are proud of our commitment to technology with iPad’s in the hands of each student and staff member on a daily basis. Our staff is continually surveying new technologies and innovative educational practices to prepare our students for the fast-paced world that they will face.
