Spencer LaPorte
Special Education

Hi! My name is Spencer LaPorte, but the students call me "Miss. L". This is my second year teaching special education, but I have been in education for a few years as a paraprofessional in both the SSN (Significant Needs) and AN (Affective Needs) programs in grades K-8. Before my time in education, I was a CNA during the pandemic, working with families whose children had intellectual disabilities and getting myself through my undergrad. I got my bachelor's in psychology with a minor in special education at Metropolitan State University of Denver. This year, I am entering my last year in my masters program in special education still at MSU! I have a corgi (age 4) named Clementine and a kitty (age 8) named Tinsel. I am excited about this upcoming school year and getting to know all the students!Favorite
