Julie Simmons
1st Grade

I was born in Arizona, but I moved to Colorado when I was 6 (so I am pretty much a native). I grew up in Denver and graduated from MSU Denver in 2020. I taught in a dual language immersion school in Fort Collins for a year and a half. I taught Spanish to kinder, 4/5 beginners, and 3rd grade during the pandemic. After that, I moved to Elizabeth where I now live with my husband, daughter, and handful of animals. This will be my second school year with Legacy Academy. I came in around December of last year to take over first grade, I was a little late due to deployment. I am still currently serving in the Army Reserves. I am really excited about this school year!
