Spring 2024 Legacy Middle School (6th-8th grades) Baseball

Important! 

All required forms (including a sports physical completed within the past year) and payment must be submitted to the school in order to tryout. See the Sports Registration page for specific requirements.  The fee for baseball will be $120 (this includes the price of a team baseball cap).

Pre-Season Camp: There will be a pre-season camp on Wednesday, March 13th and Thursday, March 14th from 3:45-5:30 pm.  All registration materials and season payment must be submitted in order to participate in the camp! If you do the camp and later decide not to play, we will refund your fee.  There is not a separate fee for the camp, it is included in the season fee.

Regular Season Dates:  The regular season will run from Monday, March 25th through Thursday, May 2nd.

Tryouts: Tryouts will be the first three days of practice (Monday 3/25 - Wednesday 3/27).

Practices: See the schedule below for practice times.  In general, after the first two weeks baseball (a combination of practices and games) will take place 4 nights/week (M-Th).

Where: Practices will take place at  the Legacy Academy baseball field, home games will take place at Evans Park in Elizabeth.

Bring: baseball cleats, glove, royal blue socks (for games), royal blue belt (for games), gray baseball pants (short or long), protective equipment (cups for boys, and a heart-guard shirt is recommended for all and required for pitchers), water bottle, and a great attitude!

Notes:  Girls may tryout for baseball.  If we have too many students come out, we may have to do cuts to keep team-size manageable.  We will refund the sport fee ($100) if your player is cut from the team, but the hat fee ($20) will not be refundable.
