My name is Mr. Branson, and this is my second year teaching sixth, seventh, and eighth grade English Language Arts at Legacy Academy. I have been teaching for sixteen years in Colorado, Idaho, Estonia, and Mongolia, and I am very excited to be able to share these educational experiences.
I grew up in Anchorage, Alaska. As a young man, I was a tank mechanic and vehicle commander in the US Army. After the Army, I returned to Alaska to obtain a bachelor's degree in English. Then I served in the US Peace Corps as an English teacher in both Mongolia and Estonia. When I had completed my service in the Peace Corps, I attended the University of Colorado, Boulder where I obtained a master's degree in Education.
My wife and I have an amazing daughter who will be in the second grade this year. We are very happy to be able to live and work in Colorado.
