BIO Jill Grassnick

Jill Grassnick

Teaching has been my passion for the greater part of my life. I graduated from college in 1982 with a major in elementary education and a minor in English. I just completed my twenty-eighth year of teaching and my seventh year at Legacy Academy. Most of those years have been spent teaching fifth grade, which is what I teach here at LA. I live in Elizabeth with my husband. Our older daughter lives in Gunnison, CO with her husband and two young children. Our younger daughter lives at home with us. In my "spare" time I coach volleyball here at our local high school. I believe that having high expectations for the students and being consistent in those expectations brings about high levels of success academically, relationally and personally, both in the classroom and outside of it. It is my goal to take a child from the level on which he comes into my classroom and be instrumental in helping him rise above and beyond his dreams. That, to me, is success.
