Mr. Vruggink has spent 24 years in education. Before going into education, he spent 8 years in the United States Marine Corps infantry. In 1999 he graduated from Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, MI with a bachelor's degree in Music Education and then went on to graduate from Grand Valley State University in Michigan with a masters degree in Educational Leadership. "Mr. V" taught middle school band and high school band in Michigan before moving to Colorado in 2010 to teach K-12 music. In 2019, Mr. Vruggink joined Legacy Academy as the Dean of Students and now serves as Principal. Mr. Vruggink is the father of four girls who help keep him busy, is a lifelong Star Wars fan, and currently resides in Parker, CO.
